Where it all began…..

Newell Hill

Hello, my name is Kelsey Newell. I am the owner, designer, and jeweler at NancyNewell&Co. I absolutely love what I do. My passion is to bring ideas to life and watch the joy that comes from the creation. Whether it be a brand new design or bringing new life to old pieces, I am always up for a challenge. I also love those out of the box ideas! This is in my 10th year of being a jeweler, I have worked for a handful of jewelry shops and have learned tons throughout the years. Along with being the jeweler I am also the designer, photographer, website builder, packaging…. currently every position in this small business except for the accounting.

That side is handled by my other half. Alex is a finance manager. With both of our 12 years of experience in our fields, along with our 10+ years together, we make a great team. “We make the perfect team to delivery you beautiful, one of a kind jewelry at competitive prices”

Nancy Townsend was my grandmother on my Mother side of my family. I always admired her creative, wild spirt. My PopPop, Ken, was a mechanic in the U.S Air Force, they lived all over the U.S. and over seas with my mother. Eventually they ended moving across the road from a hill where my father was growing up. They fell in love and started this whole story.

The Newell Family Matriarch was Bonnie Newell, my Mimmi. Her husband, Gerald, past away when I was very young. Before I was born they purchased a hill of land and eventually divided it up between their four child and there grew Newell Hill. That hill was across from the house and barn my Grannie and PopPop moved in to. Where my parents first met.

The Newell Story

Newell is my last name. I am proud to be a Newell. I look a lot like my dad and his side of the family. I’ve been told I resemble my Mimmi the most. Her and her sister, my Great Aunt, eventually moved in together on the hill next to us with both of their husbands past. So as long as I can remember it has been Mimmi and Aunt Jean as a grandparent unit. They helped raise 7+ strong, independent granddaughters.

I can only assume my Grandfather, Gerald, was handy. Tim Newell is his Son, my father. He has been woodworking my whole life. Starting with building his entire house inside and out. He has built most of our family’s favorite possessions from kitchen tables to gather at, to chest for our Grannies knitted blankets. He is also the maker behind our beautiful wood jewelry boxes. Continuing today with NewellsWoodwork that he and my mother have built together. My mother, Lori is my best advocate and biggest supporter. She is resourceful, creative, full of knowledge, and most importantly kind. I know they gave me the mentality that when I need something, I can just make it. As talented as they both are, they are even better parents.

So welcome to the Nancy Newell & Co family! Now that you know a little more of our story, lets us be a small part of yours! We are looking forward to working with you on your jewelry dreams!
